ETAC Children’s Club Story Time

Saturday, Sep 19, 2020

7:00pm – 7:30pm

We are going to have another “Story Time” this Saturday, Sep 19 at 7 pm PST via Zoom. Our beloved teacher Gulten Stimac is going to read “Buyukanne ve Miyop Ejderha”.

This story is going to be told in Turkish so that our children learn or improve their Turkish communication skills.

We are looking forward to seeing you!

Who is Gulten Stimac
She is known as Gulten Ogretmen (Teacher Gulten) by the children in the Bay Area. Gulten is from Ankara, Turkey. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media (Radio & TV) from Gazi University in Ankara. She worked as a structural designer-draftsperson in AutoCAD and worked for various engineering and construction companies for many years in Turkey and the San Francisco Bay Area.

She has studied Early Childhood Education at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, California.

While always loving and connecting with children, she worked as a substitute preschool teacher at several preschools in the East Bay. For the last several years, she worked at Turkish Schools in the San Francisco Bay Area as a head preschool teacher.

Currently she is one of the founders of OKUL By Turkish Community Connection. Also, she is happy to be part of the ETAC group as an Education Committee Leader. At the same time, she is passionately running the ETAC-Children’s Club. All her experience ultimately lead her into the local Turkish Community.
