Uğur Böceği Uç Uç Lusi

Hi Kids,

On June 5th, Saturday Bahadır Yıldırım is going to read us, Uğur Böceği Uç Uç Lusi (Lusi, The Ladybug) in TURKISH!

Lucy Ladybird doesn’t belong anywhere – she has no spots! Follow her as she goes on a journey through the seasons, being given different coloured spots by her beautiful friends. Eventually, when she has four spots, she learns that being different is no bad thing… as a huge fold-out surprise reveals all the other ladybirds want multi-coloured spots too!

Who is Bahadır Yıldırım?

I was born on March 26, 2014 in Kayseri. At the age of 4, I started a private kindergarten (Sümer Academy) in March 2018. In the 2018/2019 academic year, I continued my education in a state kindergarten (Nermin Eminoğlu Kindergarten). After studying at the same kindergarten in the 2019/2020 academic year, I started Gazi Paşa Primary School in the 2020/2021 academic year. I’m in 1st grade now.

My mother is doing a PhD in the Textile Engineering Department of Erciyes University and is also a 3rd year student in the Child Development Undergraduate Department of Istanbul University Open and Distance Education Faculty. My father is a Geological Engineer and works at the State Hydraulic Works (DSI). My mother, father and I live together in DSI lodgings. When my mother goes to school, my grandmother takes care of me.
I have been going to libraries with my mother since the age of 3. I enjoy studying different books and encyclopedias. In addition to mind games such as chess, solo test, mangala, 9 stones, reversi, I love playing with legos and cars, building cities and making tents. I enjoy playing games like Minecraft and Roblox. I have a lot of friends because we stay in the lodging and I love spending time with them. I want to be an architect and work in the Lego Company in the future.
