Aydin Koc is the Founding Partner and Chairman Emeritus of Keiretsu Forum Istanbul (KFI), and has been an angel investor member of Keiretsu Forum Bay Area since 2005. He is also on the Council of Trustees of Turkish Philanthropy Fund, the first philanthropic diaspora organization for the Turkish-American community employing the community foundation model to fund philanthropic activities and initiatives in Turkey.
Having launched his career as an international management consultant with the Boston Consulting Group and later Booz, Allen & Hamilton, Aydin advised Fortune 500 companies worldwide on their corporate strategies. He then went on to spend nearly three decades in Silicon Valley’s early tech scene, taking on management roles of increasing responsibility at semiconductor producer LSI Logic Corp, and serving in senior executive roles across a number of semiconductor firms in Silicon Valley.. He was President and CEO of BitBlitz Communications, a venture-funded semiconductor start-up and a Senior Vice President and General Manager of ZiLOG’s Home Entertainment Group and the President of the Optical Storage Group at Oak Technology. Aydin also served as CFO of ChildCare Careers , a nationwide successful staffing agency that was later acquired by two private equity firms.
He led the team that made the first PlayStation in the world and has several patents under his name.
Aydin holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electronics Engineering with high honors from Middle East Technical University and an M.B.A. degree from Stanford Graduate School of Business. He was also valedictorian of Tarsus American College in Turkey.
Passionate about entrepreneurship, Aydin advises companies and non-profits on strategy and growth. He has also joined the Stanford Alumni Consulting Team (ACT) as an advisor and mentor. Aydin splits his time between Turkey and the San Francisco Bay Area, where he has been active in the Turkish-American community for past 40 years.
